Inktober 2020 Days 29, 30, & 31

I really didn’t want to draw human footwear. I am very happy with how this came out.

The prompt on the 30th was “ominous” and I just, mentally, didn’t want to draw anything ominous. So instead, we get another heart.

I think next year I might come up with my own list of prompts or work from one of the other lists that are out there (like Artober, Drawtober, Drawlloween, or countless others).

I was having a hard time coming up with an image for crawl that wasn’t a baby or a snail until a friend suggested a crawlspace!

And with that another Inktober comes to a close. Thank you all for reading (or looking) at my posts this year. I hope your upcoming year is filled with art or artistic pursuits. Enjoy the simple things and smile! 🙂

Inktober 2020 Day 27

Coming up with an idea today was super hard. I like music but how to represent “music” was racking my brain all day. I did think about instruments or concerts but ended up with a music note and lyrics to the R.E.M. song “Shiny Happy People”.

I hope today was a happy note in your week!

Inktober 2020 Day 26

I like this one a lot.

I saw a lot of different interpretations of today’s prompt- an animal hide, hide & seek, hiding from dinosaurs, and even Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. My favorite though was a drawing of a Russian nesting doll! I thought it was a super clever take on the prompt. (I also just love Russian nesting dolls!)

Don’t hide from your day, enjoy all your moments!

Inktober 2020 Day 25

I was stumped for what to draw for “buddy”- I didn’t want to draw people (they are one of my least favorite things to draw), so that takes out a lot of the possibilities for today’s prompt. Then I started thinking about pets or animal companions, which lead me down the Pokemon road. Specifically Pokemon GO and the fact that you can have a Pokemon as your …buddy!

This is horsea (the Pokemon that resembles a seahorse [which is my favorite animal]). There are soo many Pokemon and I get a bit of flack sometimes for horsea being my favorite but too bad, I love this little animated creature!

I hope you all have plenty of buddies, pals, and friends to brighten your days and make you smile!

Inktober 2020 Day 23

I am super happy with my interpretation of today’s prompt! (It’s Rip Van Winkle, if you didn’t catch that.) I really didn’t want to draw ripped paper or clothing ripping. And a riptide seemed difficult to convey.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Inktober 2020 Day 20

Look at that, I actually managed to draw it and I’m posting before the day is over! (I only posted yesterday’s about 3 hours ago, if you didn’t see it!)

Aside from the “brain coral” (that looks too much like a brain?!), I am quite happy with today’s drawing. I was going for a coral reef but it’s not quite as reef-y as I would have liked/ imagined.

Now to think about what to draw for tomorrow! Have a splendid night.
